Faith is believing in what I can’t see.
When it comes to God we need faith to believe that God exists, because we cannot see God with our eyes.
A verse in the Bible says “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6).
In order to have faith in God we need to have an open mind as we seek to find out for ourselves if He exists.
Seeking God isn’t a flippant gesture such as “I asked God if he was real and didn’t feel anything so he isn’t real”.
Seeking involves attempting to find. If you want to know God you need to seek him out.
The verse on the homepage of this website are words from God as recorded in Jeremiah 29:13-14 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord”.
This is written as a promise, if we commit to seeking to find God, we will find Him.
Matthew 7:7-8 says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
If we genuinely ask the question “Are you real God? Reveal the truth to me”, God will reveal Himself to you.
Seeking and knowing God is an ongoing journey – when we find Him we then want to know more about Him.
